Stock of Orders of UIMC Exceeded 250 billion RUB in 2015

In 2015, United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation implemented over 2 thousand projects for the Ministry of Defense and other defense and security agencies of Russia; thus, it managed to fulfill state defense order (SDO) by 100%. Since the beginning of 2014, production volumes and returns increased by 20%.
Development and production of communication systems and computerized control systems for the Army, as well redioelectronic systems provide for the growth. The corporation supply over 60% of this kind of equipment to the Russian Ministry of Defense and other defense and security agencies. According to the recent report by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the holding company rated 24 among 100 largest weapons manufacturers of the world.
“We implement large projects aimed at transferring the Russian Army – Army, Airspace Forces and Navy – to digital communication and control systems of the new generation,” told Director General of United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation Alexander Yakunin. “As of today, the stock of orders of the corporation exceeds 250 billion RUB. The total returns of our enterprises are expected to be over 100 billion RUB. Within a short period of time, after the corporation was established, we have increased production volumes by 20%. In addition to that, we completed the task set by the government, i.e. full and timely fulfillment of SDO”.
During the year, the corporation was implementing over 2000 contracts, including more than 700 R&D projects. For instance, an automated land-air communication system has been put into operation for Airspace Forces of Russia. The first new generation strategic aerial command station based on IL-80 aircraft was tested and handed over to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. Regional and territorial defense control centers were supplied with hardware and software for automated collection, analysis and transfer of information to the higher levels of command.
New models of command and staff vehicles for communication and control at the battlefield we developed for the Army of Russia. We started deliveries of new digital communication systems for battalion-brigade level for the troops, as well as advanced armored machines such as Armata, armored vehicle and armored personnel carrier Kurganets-25, armored vehicle Boomerang, and armored car Typhoon-K. Air assault forces also got large amounts of combat, command and communication vehicles. Radioelectronic warfare troops received over 70 tracked vehicles of Borisoglebsk-2 jamming units series.
The amount of investments in re-equipment and modernization of UIMC enterprises exceeded 10 billion RUB in 2015. One of the key investment projects is establishment of the first radioelectronic cluster, the first one in Russia, in Tambov region. The cluster is to specialize in developing and production equipment for communication and radioelectronic warfare. Besides, the corporation is building a factory for manufacturing short- and middle-range drones in Rybinsk. The first production facility was opened in 2015, and full-scale production is to start in 2017-18.
